In my previous post, I marinated chicken wings for the next day. Today’s the day.

I will be serving this chicken with coleslaw for dinner tonight.
The Elements
- Seasoned Chicken
- Barbeque sauce
- Tomato paste
- The Coleslaw
During the week, I like to keep meals simple.
Heat your oven to 200 C and place your chicken in an oiled baking tray.
There will be left over seasoning liquids from your chicken marinade, add 2 tbsp of tomato paste and 3 tbsp of your favorite barbeque sauce to that in the container you used to season your chicken and pour it over your chicken evenly.
Place in your hot 200 C oven and bake for 35 minutes. After 35 minutes, baste with your chicken with your barbeque sauce. This will depend on how saucy you want it.

Place this back in the oven for another 20 minutes to finish cooking.
The Slaw
- Cabbage, Carrot, green onions and purple salad onion
- Coleslaw dressing
- Celery salt
- garlic powder
Slice and dice your cabbage
peel and grate your carrots
dice your purple salad onions
slice green onions
Combine all of these elements in a bowl. Add your favorite coleslaw dressing, as much or as little as you like. season with celery salt and garlic powder. Combine this mixture, cover it and put it in the fridge.
Once your chicken is cooked, dinner is served.
To this meal, you can add potato fries or some rice, but this is a light dinner for a busy day. We’re getting at least 3 Vegetables from the coleslaw and skip the chips to reduce the calories of the meal.
