Nothing more special than baking bread at home for your family. The smell that fills your home when the bread is in the oven is like no other smell.
Nothing like fresh bread, and butter. Take some time to bake a loaf for your family over the weekend. Here’s my favorite recipe for a plain white loaf
Ingredients
3 Cups white bread flour
2 Tsp Salt
2 Tsp Bread improver
1 Tbsp active dry yeast
1.5 Tbsp cooking oil
320 ml warm water
Method
Mix all dry ingredients together in your mixing bowl, mix well with a whisk.
Mix your oil and warm water together in a separate bowl
Add the oil and water mixture to your flour mixture, combine and form a dough.
Knead your dough for no less than 15 minutes to build up the gluten in your dough. The dough must be smooth and stretchy.
Place the dough in an oiled bowl to rise, cover and keep in a warm area. Rising will take one hour and the dough should double in size.
Once the dough is risen, place dough on on floured surface, knead lightly to remove air from the dough. Shape your dough and place in your bread tin. Allow the shaped dough to proof for another hour, it should double in size again. Place covered dough, in a warm area to rise.
After your dough is done rising, place in a preheated oven @ 200 degrees celsius for 20 to 25 minutes.
Your loaf is cooked when it sounds hollow when tapped.
Never slice hot bread straight from the oven. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
Serve with butter or toast and serve with breakfast

Bon Manger!
